PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

I am deeply honored to serve as the President of 100 Black Men Las Vegas. This organization holds a special place in my heart, as it brings together successful men from diverse backgrounds, all dedicated to giving back to our youth and community. Our focus is on supporting marginalized groups and “Standing in the Gap” to address the disparities they face. We are entering an exciting period of significant growth, both internally and externally. The need to support our youth and community is more critical than ever as we strive to overcome financial, health, educational, and racial challenges.
Our mission is to “create environments where children and their families are inspired to dream, challenged to achieve and empowered to become self-sufficient shareholders in the community.”
My goal is to ensure that 100 Black Men Las Vegas continues to provide programs and support that foster generational advancement. I invite you to join us in this mission. Whether through volunteering, mentoring, or donating, your involvement can make a significant difference in the lives of our youth and community. Together, we can create a brighter future.
My vision for the future is to:
- Develop and implement programs that provide social, mental and career development;
- Advocate for our youth to overcome disparities in education, discrimination, injustice, and inclusion;
- Increase the level of sponsorship into the organization;
- Collaborate with organizations with like goals to have a more cohesive impact;
- Become recognized as an influential and impactful organization in our community; and
- Establish a staffed location for 100 Black Men Las Vegas.
In the current political climate, where policies and societal shifts are rapidly evolving, our youth face unprecedented challenges. It is up to us to provide support, answers, and pathways to success. We must be the change we wish to see in the world, especially in times of uncertainty.
Mentoring remains at our core, but we must also support small businesses and economic empowerment. We will respond to the needs of our community with scholarships, structured programs, and strategic collaborations, ensuring we adapt to the changing landscape.
We are fortunate to have an Executive Advisory Council committed to making our community better. This council includes senior executives from Caesars Entertainment, MGM Resorts, Wells Fargo, Cox Communications, NV Energy, and the College of Southern Nevada, with more companies interested in joining.
With the support of our membership, executive advisory council and the community, we exemplify our moto “What They See is What They’ll Be”.
